Austinomics
by Austin Edwards
Trenton, NJ, USA

Austin · omics
[ aw-stuhn-nom-iks]
(noun)
1. The philosophy that if you can obtain items easily, with little to no effort, they become inherently worthless.
2. Austinonmics is a podcast by this really smart, dumb guy who explains the real life, societal issues facing his American hometown, and many other places around the world. Yes, it sounds so titillating! By interviewing actual smart policymakers, politicians, and well, real normal people, Austin will show you how these issues affect you (and hopefully make himself into an actual smart person!)

Stacy Park

Austin discusses the area known as Stacy Park in Trenton, NJ. In the 1950’s, Stacy Park was demolished in the name of progress when the State constructed the New Jersey Route 29 Freeway. Subsequent phases of development by government agencies have produced an area characterized by scattered office buildings, surface parking lots and disconnection from the river.  Beautiful Stacy Park once served as the signature open space for the Statehouse of New Jersey and Downtown Trenton. This park was the City’s connection to the Delaware Riverfront. The park was characterized by large open lawns, quality landscape, and promenades.
